The Global Coerver Coaching Youth Football Partnership with SL Benfica just went from strength to strength.
SL Benfica who in 2015 were voted in Dubai as The Worlds Best Youth Football Academy can boast 167 pro players and 50 being Internationalist. They can also boast in developing top players such as Renato of the Portuguese National A team at the age of 18.
Coerver Coaching are proud to announce this week that Josh Hannah and Connor Presley won the top awards in Benfica. The awards are Mystique and Eusebio !
Josh winning Eusebio means he will now return as an SL Benfica 2003 player training with the 2003 squad later this year. Josh has been on the Coerver programme from the age of 6 working with Coerver Ireland. Whilst Connor of Coerver Texas USA is through our support and programmes playing his football here in Portugal.
Director of Coerver Portugal & Scotland Gordon Craig said
"The partnership with SL Benfica has been a perfect opportunity for our Coerver kids to show what they can do. Whilst testing themselves in a high performance environment and being trained at a top club . The coaches at SL Benfica are all the top youth team coaches. The fact we are working closely both on and of the field has been a great opportunity for Coerver and SL Benfica."

Final day yesterday at the Kids Masters Tournernent with our International select squad. Great performances from our boys with the goal of tournament to our very own Coerver kid Liam Kelly with a 30 yard top corner drive. Boys finished top of table and total 14 goals for 3 against.
Squad Head coach, Coerver Scotland and Portugal Director Gordon Craig would like to thank all the staff, Carlos Rodrigous, CR-Foot our colleagues at Coerver South Africa for once again supporting the squad with top players, all the players from Scotland,Canada, South Africa and Portugal and to my two captians Hugo Costa and Naneni Banda.
Some of the boys heading home with others going with us to our Global Partners in Youth Football SL Benfica and the Elite Summer Training camps. They will be joined by Coerver kids from Scotland and Ireland.
Great Job boys cant wait till next year #GetAfterIt

Coerver® Coaching Youth Diploma 1 2016 June 11th 12th at Murray Park with partner club Rangers FC.
The Coerver® Coaching Youth Diploma 1 has been developed from 32 years of knowledge and work with the leading federations, clubs, managers and star names in International Football.
Our guest presenter will be Gordon Craig Scotland & Portugal Coerver ® CEO & Director and coaching advisor with Rangers FC and SL Benfica International area.

COERVER®-S.L. BENFICA PARTNERSHIP
In February 2016 we signed a Global Agreement with SL. Benfica. This has been a very exciting opportunity for Coerver Coaching on a global level. Many countries from our CCEMEA network have already benefited from this partnership such as Scotland, Ireland, Greece, South Africa and Tunisia.
Elite International Development Program:
In April we completed the second and Official Elite International Development program. Coerver players spent a month at the Benfica Academy (the World’s No1 Professional Academy). They were trained as if they were a Benfica player by the Academy competition coaches and backroom staff. They played against Benfica academy teams and other top opposition. This is a fantastic experience for any player and some were even invited back on trial - the icing on the top!
Coerver Coaching Scotland/Portugal Director, Gordon Craig is now considered an internal part of the Club’s Technical Team (pictured below working with the u19s in April this year delivering a Coerver session).
Gordon says “It is very exciting being able to see how our work at Coerver Coaching can fit into the Benfica Model of Play. Working with Jorge and Goncalo at the Technical department has been exciting – we can both see how Coerver complements their style”
Elite Summer Camp Program
There is also Elite International Summer Camp Program in July at Benfica. Players from Scotland, Ireland, Greece and South Africa will attend. Some of the supporting Directors will be joining at the camp to work with the players and even ID for the next squads in October. There are already two squads being formed with players 2003 to 2001 and 2000 to 1998s.
Youth Diploma 1 – CPD points
Through the support of Benfica, CPD points will now be awarded to attendees of the Coerver Youth Diploma 1 plus course. The next course will be held at Benfica in September 2016.
